Who We Are:

EYT is an ecumenical ministry — in collaboration with Edgebrook Lutheran Church, Edgebrook Covenant Church, and Edgebrook Community Church — created to foster a radically affirming and inclusive environment that supports youth in their unique faith journeys.

We strive to reach beyond the boundaries of our congregations and denominations. At the forefront of our community is this radical love of God that includes and welcomes all.

Mission

The mission of Edgebrook Youth Together is to cultivate a welcoming, loving community that leads and supports youth on their faith journey, energizing youth to extend the love of Jesus to themselves, their communities, and the world.

  • We strive to be a community that is affirming and antiracist in which everyone is welcomed and treated like a child of God.

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:4-5

  • We strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus by using our unique gifts to walk alongside those in need.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

  • We strive to take care of ourselves and each other physically, emotionally, and spiritually, while also caring for the world that surrounds us.

“We love because [Jesus] first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

  • We strive to be a safe space where youth can let down their walls, have fun, and let go of other stressors.

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

  • We strive to base our programming on the foundation of a common faith in Jesus Christ.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
